Tomato Plant

For my experiment I tested how natural pesticides solution effect the life span of aphids. The two natural solution that I used were Canola Oil and Baking soda. Also a baking soda and dish soap solution. This experiment was done over three day and I sprayed the tomato plants everyday with this solution. The conclusion that I got were that both of these natural solution killed 90% of the aphids placed in the jars with the plants. However, after one day of spraying the tomato plants with the each of the solution the plant died.

In this experiment, we tested the effects that different bugs would have on a tomato plant when exposed to them. By collecting this data, we were able to get a better understanding of the effects that pest and predator insects have on common home vegetable garden plants like tomato plants. The data we collected from this lab also supports our claims of the destructiveness of aphids to garden plants, but also how effective ladybugs are at consuming and eliminating aphids.
